WHY MAGDIALE ?

Magdiale Wolmark is a 2x James Beard nominated chef, certified biodynamic gardener, and Food Network competition cooking show champion. He is considered a pioneer in the midwest locavore movement. His plant based restaurant Dragonfly neo-v cuisine was widely regarded as one of the finest vegetarian restaurants in the country.

Magdiale built a classic jardin potager behind the restaurant designed by renowned landscape architect and kitchen garden designer Jennifer Bartley. The garden was featured in Jennifer’s first book DESIGNING THE NEW KITCHEN GARDEN AN AMERICAN POTAGER HANDBOOK Timber Press 2006. Magdiale completed biodynamic farming and gardening training at the Ehrenfried Pfeiffer Center in Spring Valley New York. His garden produced over 30 varieties of organic fruits and vegetables for the restaurant.

Magdiale trained and competed in Chinese martial arts for over a decade culminating in a silver medal in the World Martial Arts Olympics in Beijing China. He continues to cross train regularly and builds his culinary aesthetic by rigorous sourcing and precision techniques.
